A Very Slow Discovery

From Tuesday, June 8th to Sunday, June 13th, a special event focused on “Slow Pokemon” will take place. During this event the following will be live:

  • The Debut of Galarian Slowpoke & Galarian Slowbro in game, which can be evolved after catching 30 Poison-types while buddied
  • Mega Slowbro will make its debut in Mega raids
  • Slowpoke, Slowbro, Slakoth, Vigoroth, Gulpin, Spoink, and more will spawn in the wild
  • Galarian Slowpoke and others will be appearing in raids
  • Themed Field Research, Collection Challenge, and stickers

May 2021 Community Day featuring Swablu

Niantic has just announced that May’s Community Day will feature Swablu!

Increased Swablu spawns and an increased shiny chance on May 15, 11am to 5pm local time!

The following perks will occur during this month’s Community Day:

  • Increased Swablu spawns and increased shiny chances
  • Evolve Swablu to Altaria that knows Moon Blast up until 7pm DAY OF EVENT
  • Take snapshots of Pokémon for a photobomb surprise
  • A special Community Day Box will be available for purchase in the in game store for 1280 Pokecoins, containing 50 Ultra Balls, 5 Super Incubators, 5 Incense and an Elite Fast TM
  • Special Research “Cotton Winged Bird” for Community Day available for $1 (or local equivalent)
  • 1/4 Hatch Distance for eggs placed into incubators during Community Day
  • Incense activated during Community Day will last 3 hours
  • Mega Altaria will join Mega Raids Starting at 5pm!

Update: 4/29:
May Community Day will be Swablu on May 15 11am-5pm Local
Altaria announced as the surprise Mega Evolved Pokemon starting May 15, 5pm local (at end of Community Day)

The end of April is upon us so Niantic has released the upcoming details for the in game events for the month of May!

Giovanni will be back, this time with a Shadow Moltres that can be saved from his control!

During the entire Month of May Galarian Ponyta will be in Research Breakthrough Rewards!

Incarnate Forme Thundurus, Tornadus and Landorus will be in 5 Star Raids until May 4!

Xerneas will take over 5 Star Raids from May 4 – 18

Yveltal will replace it in 5 Star raids May 18 – 31

Mega Venusaur, Lopunny Abomasnow will be in Mega raids until May 4

Followed by Mega Venusaur, Charizard Y and Lopunny from May 4-15

From May 15 – June 1 Mega Ampharos, Houndoom and a Surprise Mega-Evolved Pokemon will be in Mega Raids! Update: 4/29: Altaria announced as the surprise Mega Evolved Pokemon starting May 15, 5pm local (at end of Community Day)

Every Monday in May a free bundle will be available in the shop containing a Remote Raid Pass and other items

May’s Tuesday night Spotlight Hours will be the Following:

From Tuesday, March 16th 10am – Monday, March 22nd 8pm a Charge Up! Event will be taking place in Pokemon Go which will have the following bonuses:

  • The debut of Tynamo, the Electric Fish Pokémon
  • Alolan Geodude, Voltorb, Electrike, Stunfisk, Tynamo, and more will be appearing in the wild
  • Pichu, Elekid, Electrike, Shinx, Joltik, Tynamo, and Stunfisk can hatch from 5km eggs
  • Voltorb, Shinx, Blitzle, Klink, Tynamo, Alolan Raichu, Alolan Graveler, Magneton, Ampharos, Therian Forme Thundurus will be appearing in raids
