Go Fest 2021 details!

Niantic has released the full rundown of the Go Fest 2021 events! Starting with a lower priced ticket ($5 down from $15), trainers can expect all sorts of goodies! Details below:

Day 1: July 17th 10am – 6pm

All Trainers (Including non ticketed players)

  • There will be 4 hourly habitats rotating through the day (Jungle, Desert Mountain, Ocean Beach, and Cave)
  • Wild spawns will include Chimecho, Kricketot, Audino, new costumed Pikachu, Scyther, Aipom, Froakie, Skarmory, Shieldon, Hippopotas, Dratini, Swablu, Alomomola, Roggenrola, Galarian Stunfisk, Deino, and more
  • Raids will feature Hitmontop, Cranidos, Deino, and Galarian Ponyta and Zigzagoon w/ costumes
  • Shiny Whismur, Chimecho, Audino, and Tympole will make their debuts during this event!

Ticket Holders

  • Exclusive Special Research rewarding a Meloetta, shirt, and avatar pose
  • Choose pop or rock paths for unique music and costumed Pokemon
  • 4 Collection Challenges + Global Challenges each hour for bonuses
  • Incense spawning Unown F & G, Ludicolo, Chatot, Leafeon, Serperior, Flareon, Tyranitar, Flygon, Throh, Gyrados, Vaporeon, Azumarill, Sawk, Umbreon, Gardevoir, Absol, and Galvantula
  • Debut of Shiny Unown F, Throh, and Sawk

Day 2: July 18th 10am – 6pm

A Snap-py event in Pokémon Go!

Tying in with the release of Pokémon Snap for the Nintendo Switch (release date April 30, 2021), there will be an in-game event in Pokémon Go!

The following will be happening in game from Thursday April 29th to Sunday May 2!

  • Pokémon inspired by the deserts, jungles, and underwater landscapes of the Lental region—such as Lotad, Cacnea, and Ducklett—will be appearing in the wild
  • Smeargle appearing more frequently in photobombs (and the debut of Shiny Smeargle!)
  • Pokémon inspired by the Lental region—like Vaporeon, Meganium, and Trapinch—appearing in raids
  • Themed Field and Timed Research

Pokémon Go: Weather Week Announced

Weather Week has been announced by Niantic and will take place from Wednesday, March 24th at 10am to Monday, March 29th at 8pm.

  • Weather week will mark the debut of Shiny Rainy Castform
  • Rainy Pokémon such as Vaporeon, Lotad, Stunfisk and more will be appearing in the wild from Wednesday at 10am to Saturday at 10am
  • Windy Pokémon such as Skarmory, Taillow, Pidove, and more appearing in the wild from Saturday at 10am to Monday at 8pm
  • Psyduck, Poliwag, Swablu, Drifloon, Mantyke, Tympole, and Ducklett will be in the 5km egg pool
  • Rainy and Windy Pokémon in raids
  • Weather Themed Field and Timed Research will reward encounters with Rainy Castform and more
  • Bonus Stardust when catching Weather-boosted Pokémon
